The Run Home Highland Breakfast Run will take place on Saturday 3rd October 2009

A new event for 2009, as part of the Year of Homecoming Scotland, the Run Home Highland Breakfast Run is open to all runners, supporters, spectators, local residents and anyone wanting to be part of the 2009 Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running.

Starting and finishing at Queens Park Stadium, the race village in Inverness and following an approx. 5k/ 3miles route (route to be confirmed) through parkland and along pathways along the River Ness and the Caledonian Canal, the run is the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and limber up for the big day on Sunday, whether you are a marathon, 10k, 5k runner or just someone wanting to take part.

So yes, going easy on the accelerator and not turning on the gas, and keeping within your own ability - that's what it's all about. If you want to speed things up, we won't stop you - just don't expect us to keep up with you!

At the end of the run, a welcoming Highland breakfast buffet will be served with plenty of needed carbohydrates including porridge, cereals, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meats, breads, jams and butter/ margarine etc. Coffee, tea, water and Lucozade Sport will also be included. Sit back and enjoy with some great Highland tunes.

The Run Home Highland Breakfast Run is open to all ages and abilities. Entry fee is £10 which includes your race number and Highland breakfast.

09.15 Run Home Highland Breakast Run Start
15.00 - 20.00 Marathon/5K Pre Race Registration.
15.00-19.00 Baxter's Pasta Party at Queens Park Stadium - all runners, friends and family welcome!
