Introduction
It’s not unusual for parents and carers to jokingly talk about the ‘little monsters’ in their charge! So what better idea than to give them their own race which is especially named for them?
We’ve created The Wee Nessie, open to pre-school children aged 5 and under, as a fun addition to the Baxters Festival of Running. This is a simple and short (approx 400 metres), circular route in the enclosed Bught Park that is safe for kids. It allows the children to walk, jog or run at their own pace and provides the perfect introduction to the sport.
You just have to witness the joy and pride on little faces to see how delighted they are to be involved! The medals and T-shirts go down rather well too! And who knows…perhaps we’ll see the early signs of some future running stars in the making! Enter now.

When does it start?
The Wee Nessie will take place in the Bught Park in Inverness at 10.10am Sunday 30 September 2012.
