  • Loch Ness to host Scottish Marathon Championships

    For the third year the Scottish Marathon Championships will set up home at the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running. Staging the championships is a major coup as the leading Scottish athletes will be chasing qualifying times for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Central AC’s Ross Houston will be given the chance of completing a hat-trick of national championship wins at Loch Ness. Shettleston’s Avril Mason won a thrilling women’s race in 2012 and she is preparing to defend her title at this year’s event.

Loch Ness is one of the best-known destinations in the world. Its beautiful scenery and the centuries-old mystery of the Loch Ness monster have attracted visitors from around the world for years.
